At Adams County Soil & Water Conservation district, we are dedicated to helping landowners understand and implement conservation practices that will improve the quality and health of our soil and water resources.
In partnership with the ISDA, soil samples can be pulled and sent to
A & L Laboratories in Ft. Wayne.
Testing will assess soil health, providing valuable insights for sustainable farming practices. Testing fees are charged according to specific testing and analysis requested.
Manure testing is also available.
Our team provides conservation education materials and presentations to Adams County students, including schools in our Amish community. Our annual "Splash Day", typically held in May at the 4-H grounds, is an exciting conservation education field day for sixth grade students.
Our office owns a "Land Pride" 7' wide no-till drill; CRV 30' Roller-Crimper; and an Interseeder Tool, all for rent at reasonable prices. Our Land Pride drill can be modified to allow it to be pulled by tractor OR horse team. This equipment assists farmers with implementing conservation farming practices.
