A Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is a local government unit established at the state level to manage and oversee natural resource conservation programs, primarily focusing on protecting soil and water quality within a specific geographic area, working directly with landowners to implement conservation practices on their property; essentially acting as a local leader in promoting sustainable land use practices.
At Adams County Soil & Water Conservation district, we are dedicated to helping landowners understand and implement conservation practices that will improve the quality and health of our soil and water resources.
Adams SWCD offers soil and manure assessments, technical assistance, educational outreach, and other conservation minded support.
Adams County SWCD is small but mighty. We are group of dedicated individuals with a commitment to conservation.
